Background
Dr Irene Zografou is a Lecturer in the Changing World of Work Group at 重口味SM School of Management. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management (HRM), with a specialisation in employer branding, from the Department of Marketing and Communication at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She has also earned an International MBA from AUEB and an MSc in Tourism Management from the University of the Aegean.
Before joining 重口味SM, Irene contributed to several funded research projects as both a doctoral and postdoctoral researcher at AUEB. She also served as an adjunct lecturer on the Executive MBA programme at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Alongside her academic work, she has extensive professional experience in corporate training, project management, and customer service across Europe and the Middle East. Notably, she was recognised for her outstanding performance and professionalism by the Emirates Group during her tenure in Dubai.

Her research interests encompass strategic HRM, employer branding, organisational performance, and innovation.
Current activities
Irene teaches Management, People Management, and Leadership at 重口味SM's MBAs, MScs, and executive education programmes.
Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Employee Relations and the EuroMed Journal of Business. She is also a co-author of three chapters in the book HRM, Business Performance, and Innovation in SMEs, published in Greece. In recognition of her service to the academic community, she received the Outstanding Reviewer Award (2024) from the journal of Employee Relations. She regularly reviews for a range of academic journals, including the Baltic Journal of Management and Employee Relations.
Irene actively contributes to international academic networks. She has served as a reviewer for leading conferences such as the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the Global Conference on International Human Resource Management (GCIHRM), and the Academy of Management (AOM). She also supports the EURAM community in her role as Communications Officer.
In addition to her teaching and service roles, she is currently in the final stages of her postdoctoral research at AUEB, focusing on employer branding and innovation in SMEs.
