Background

In 2023, Dr. Stefano Tedeschi became a Senior Lecturer in Cyber-Physical Systems in Manufacturing and Maintenance at 重口味SM University's Centre for Digital Engineering and Manufacturing (CDEM). His academic journey began with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salerno and the University of L'Aquila in Italy. In 2015, he made the decision to move to the United Kingdom to pursue a PhD in Cyber Security at 重口味SM University.

Before assuming his current role as a Senior Lecturer, Stefano held the position of Principal Project Leader at TWI Ltd. During his time there, he improved his skills in project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. He collaborated effectively with both internal and external teams and played a key role in establishing strong connections with industries, research institutes, and universities under the guidance of senior management. Stefano's approach to business strategies demonstrated his innovative thinking, as he successfully planned and executed projects of various sizes, contributing to business expansion and revenue growth through impactful initiatives.

Simultaneously, Stefano remained committed to his scientific research in digital engineering with a particular focus on its applications in the manufacturing industry. His expertise encompassed areas such as Digital Twins, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), and Internet of Things (IoT). Through his research, Stefano established valuable connections with major stakeholders in these fields, further enhancing his contributions and impact.

Dr. Stefno Tedeschi is the Course Director for MSc Digital and Technology Solutions

Dr. Stefano Tedeschi is responsible for the short course "Digital Twins for Senior Leaders," which has trained over 100 delegates over the past year. The course is designed to bridge the digital twin skills gap by promoting market understanding and consensus, aligning digital twin skills supply and demand, and promoting systems thinking as a key solution.
